  Junior 2 had a great few days at Rock UK's Frontier Centre.

• A wonderful afternoon of sport!

  What a wonderful sports day! 

  It began with all our children taking part in a range of athletic events involving running, jumping and throwing. As they worked around the different stations they were able to collect points for their teams and try a range of different activities. We then ended the day with some more formal races including running, egg and spoon and the sack race. Well done to all our children for showing such respect and friendship to each other and a big thank you to all our parents for coming to support their children and help with scoring. 

  

• Euros Football Tournament

  What a fantastic day to be in our school!

  Today we played our Gunthorpe Euros Football tournament. Our four teams were France, Germany, Netherlands and Belgium and every child in our school took part. All the children demonstrated great sportsmanship and respect for each other and supported their team mates throughout. The whole morning was a pleasure to be part of and filled all the staff with pride. Congratulations to France who won the competition.

  

• Road Safety Workshops

  A team from Via visited school today to work with all our children. They led some fantastic sessions focussing on road safety and how to keep ourselves safe. All the children from preschool to year 6 thoroughly enjoyed the activities which were engaging and fun.

  

• Mrs Shipman - Farewell

  Mrs Shipman, our lovely business manager has left today to start a job closer to home. We will miss her and wish her well. We are sure she will pop in and see us soon.

  

• Gunthorpe's Got Talent

  Wow ! What a talented bunch of children we have at our school. This morning all our children have been invited to share all their wonderful achievements from outside school. They brought in a range of items to share - from rosettes, medals and certificates to martial arts belts and fantastic stories of different acts of charity. We are so proud of all our children!

  

• Goodbye Mrs Stewart

  Mrs Stewart leaves us today to begin her maternity leave. We will miss her in school  and wish her all the best - we can't wait to meet her new addition. 

  

• PSHE Day

• Goodbye Mrs Dewick!

  Mrs Dewick left Gunthorpe today after 18 years of service. She has been such a major part of the school, going on countless residentials and working with children of all ages, not to mention her dedication to GOSH since its inception. We thank her for everything she has done and wish her every success in her new role. xx

  

• Cricket Festival

  Well done to our group of Junior 1 children who attended the Rushcliffe cricket festival today. They were all a  credit to our school and had a wonderful time honing their cricket skills and playing with children from lots of different neighbouring schools.
