    At Gunthorpe, we follow the Read Write Inc. phonics programme to help children become confident and enthusiastic readers. Through daily, fun and engaging lessons, pupils learn to recognise sounds, blend them to read words, and begin to write simple sentences. Our aim is to build strong foundations in reading and spelling, giving every child the skills and confidence to enjoy books and develop a love of reading.
