Christmas Craft Day - its beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!!
Thu 28 Nov 2024Today our whole school enjoyed a day of craft and fun - getting ready for Christmas. We made decorations and Christingles in preparation for our Christingle service next week and we were joined by Jo and Chris from St. Johns, Lowdham who led our collective worship, focussing on the advent wreath. It was a fantastic day culminating in a Christmas film night.

A WOW moment in school

Our whole school community had lots of fun on the field building snowmen and throwing snowballs.

Children in Need
Fri 15 Nov 2024Today we held a non uniform day and sold Pudsey ear headbands in support of Children in Need. It was also a time for us all to stop and think about those less fortunate than ourselves and to remember how lucky we are.

Diwali Celebrations
Mon 11 Nov 2024Today our infant children learnt about the festival of Diwali. They retold the story of Rama and Sita, made divas and created Mehndi and Rangoli patterns.

Gunthorpe Remembers
Mon 11 Nov 2024At 11 O'clock today all our school community observed a minute silence to remember all those killed in conflicts and each class made a poppy wreath which was laid at the front of the hall.
We are so proud of all our children who behaved with the upmost respect and maturity.

Antibullying Week - Choose Respect
Mon 11 Nov 2024Today marks the start of Antibullying Week. This year's theme is 'Choose Respect'. Throughout this week we will be focusing on what bullying is, how it makes people feel and what we can do about it. We will be taking part in odd socks day (tomorrow) and kindness day (Wednesday) as a means to highlight this important issue.
