  • Infants Celebrate Chinese New Year!

    Mon 27 Jan 2025

The infants had a wonderful time celebrating Chinese New Year! We kicked off the day by making beautiful lanterns and crafty snakes to decorate our classroom. The children’s faces lit up with excitement as they worked together on their creations, using bright colours and sparkly decorations.

Afterwards, it was time to taste some delicious Chinese food. A big thank you to Yeung Sing restaurant in Bingham, for kindly providing us with a variety of tasty treats to try and some beautiful decorations for our classroom– everyone enjoyed tasting new flavours and sharing their thoughts on the dishes!

The celebration wouldn’t have been complete without an exciting dragon dance! The children had a blast making the dragon together and then taking part in the dance, waving the dragon high and moving to the rhythm of the music. It was so much fun!

We also had some very special guests. A huge thank you some of our junior children for coming in and sharing their own Chinese New Year traditions and celebrations from home.

It was a day full of joy, learning, and new experiences that we will remember for a long time. Happy Chinese New Year to all!
