  • Last Day of Term

    s the term came to an end, the school marked the occasion with a fun and relaxed Easter celebration. The whole-school picnic, held at lunchtime, brought students and staff together to enjoy some time outdoors.  It was a lovely chance for everyone to sit down, chat, and enjoy the fresh air before the holiday break.

    After the picnic, the Easter Egg Hunt was the next big event of the day. The school grounds were dotted with hidden eggs, and the children eagerly set off to find them. It was a great way to get everyone moving and engaged, with many laughs and little moments of excitement as eggs were discovered in different corners of the field.

    Everyone had a lovely day and all the staff would like to wish all our families a very happy Easter.

     

  • Easter Celebrations

    Our Easter celebrations today were a joyful occasion filled with fun, reflection, and community spirit. Our parents and children gathered for a heart-warming Easter service, where the children led us through the Easter story, highlighting its themes of joy, sadness, and the hope that Easter brings.

    The atmosphere was electric, with the children’s singing filling the air, creating a truly memorable and moving experience for all. The celebrations continued with an Easter bonnet and egg decorating competition, showcasing the creativity of our pupils. The service ended with an exciting Easter raffle, leaving everyone with smiles on their faces and a sense of togetherness.

    It was a wonderful celebration of Easter, and the whole school community is already looking forward to next year's festivities!

  • Listen Up Conference 2025 at Trent Vineyard Church - An Uplifting Experience

    Today some of our worship and wellbeing group travelled to Trent Vineyard church to attend Listen Up 2025. Listen up is an event led by children who are invited to present on topics that they are passionate about or leads acts of worship throughout the day. Our children had a fantastic day, they loved hearing from the different groups and came away full of ideas excited and eager to return next year.

  • World Book Day

    Today's World Book Day was a fantastic celebration filled with imagination and excitement! This year’s theme of animals and fantastical creatures brought characters to life, as students enjoyed a whole school quiz, testing their knowledge of their favourite books. Each child received a special token to swap for a World Book Day book, sparking joy and encouraging a love of reading. After school, the fun continued as FOGs organised a book and delicious cake sale, and a tombola full of exciting prizes. It was a day brimming with creativity, community spirit, and the magic of storytelling!

  • Athletics Festival

    Today some of our Junior 1 children attended an athletics festival after school. They enjoyed practising their field event skills with plenty of energy and enthusiasm! From launching the javelin with precision to speeding through the speed bounce - they gave it their all. The excitement soared as they then took part in thrilling relay races, leaping over hurdles with determination and teamwork. They were all a credit to our school both in their behaviour and their attitude.

  • Pancake Day

    Pancake fun took over our infants this morning! They had a great time designing and making pancakes, creating pancake faces and tossing pancakes in a pan. 

  • Young Voices 2025

    Our Junior choir had an incredible time attending the Young Voices concert in Sheffield today! The energy in the arena was absolutely electrifying as thousands of young voices joined together to create a powerful, harmonious sound. From the first note to the last, the choir members were filled with excitement, singing and dancing along with their new friends from schools all over the country. It was an unforgettable experience that left everyone smiling and full of joy, celebrating the magic of music and the power of coming together!

  • Junior 1 - Viking drama day

    Junior 1 had a brilliant time learning about the story of Beowulf, immersing themselves in its thrilling world of heroes and monsters. The day began with an engaging drama workshop where the children explored the different characters, bringing the legendary tale to life through movement and expression. Led by Milly Lawson, a Creative Arts Officer, the workshop helped them understand the story’s themes of bravery and adventure. In the afternoon, excitement filled the air as the whole school came together for a fantastic performance, showcasing everything they had learned. It was an unforgettable experience that made Beowulf truly come alive!

  • Basketball Festival

    Some of our Junior 1 children attended a basketball festival after school today and had an amazing time!  They practiced their skills and gave it their all, showing incredible determination and teamwork throughout the session. On top of that their behavior was exemplary and they were all a credit to our school.
