Marvellous Monday 15th November

What a fantastic week we have had last week- it was brilliant to hear about what all the children had been doing.

A big well done to Infant 2 whose duck- Quackman and Bobbin won the children in need duck race on Friday.  They have £5 to spend on a book or new outdoor toy of their choice.

Lots of children completed the reading challenge over half term and all those children recieved a small prize including a bookmark this morning. It was so encouraging to see so many children value reading and had enjoyed reading a good range of texts over the holiday.  Well done and keep reading!

Lots of year 3 in Junior 1 have been working really hard to impress Mrs Brown and Mrs Stewart and have now recieved a pen license- well done for your beautiful handwriting.

We also had some fantastic achievements in our brilliant book:

Infant 1- Well done to Darci-Rai for your fantastic effort with your reading, you are now blending independently.  Wade- Mrs Findlay didn't have room on your certificate to write all the brilliant things you did last week.  Keep up that amazing attitude to learning.

Infant 2- A huge congratulations to Rhys for your superb story with excellent adjectives and to Bella for your effort with your maths work. Mr Shaw and Mrs Lever were really impresed.

Junior 1-  Daisy and Lissie both really impressed Mrs Stewart and Mrs Brown this week with their writing of their own version of The Tiger Child with added clauses.

Junior 2- Oliver your maths this week really impressed Mr Tyler with your finding of all the factors.  Olivia your English work adding a sequal to the UFO diary was superb.

Finally, we presented all year 6 with their leavers hoodies.  They can now wear this instead of a school jumper for the rest of the year.  We spoke about the responsibility that comes with being in year 6- especially now they can be spotted around school.  Enjoy wearing them with pride year 6.
