Head Teachers Blog w/c 30th September

We had a brilliant week looking at Determination and throughout the week our British athletes worked hard to demonstrate this value superbly. We watched in collective worship Dina Asher-Smith winning gold in the 200m and then the following day the incredibly efforts of Katrina Johnson-Thompson also achieving gold in the heptathlon (an amazing seven events not six- thanks Joshua!) I hope you have all seen us signing our bible verse for determination but if not to check it out on twitter

On to our brilliant book...

Infant 1- Ava - for brilliant reading this week. Ava is beginning to read some simple sentences on her own, using her phonic knowledge to sound out. Well done!

Bella- For working really hard in phonics and beginning to sound out simple words all by herself! What a phonics super star!!

Infant 2- Dylan- for excellent attention to detail when drawing an aerial map of the school grounds- we particularly liked the boat!

Lissie and Heidi- for showing friendship during PE when others were 'out' they were supportive and encouraging. Well done girls!

Junior 1- Megan- for excellent determination in maths this week, not giving up when her answer might have been wrong!

Harrison- for his excellent presentation and stamina in maths. You have set the bar really high and worked hard all week!

Junior 2- Kyle- for drawing excellent circuit diagrams using the correct symbols in science.

Ali- for writing a really good recount based on the book 'The Day of Ahmed's secret'
