Head Teacher blog w/c 14th Oct

What a brilliant week we have had with such a buzz around school for our Ethiopian Day. Well done to all the children for presenting such interesting information on art, geography, history, sport, religion, cotton and coffee trade and dance!

A special mention this week to Joshua for his amazing achievement winning the Tristage Triathlon Champion for the East Midlands! He spoke very clearly telling us all about each of the events. A brilliant sportsman!

On to our brilliant book...

Infant 1- Henry- for doing so well with his reading. Henry has really tried hard with his blending and always does his best. He was so keen he has taken 2 books home for the holidays!

Bella- for an amazing mendi pattern this morning during Diwali day. Bella was so careful and precise with her work and took time to copy and reproduce patterns.

Ava- Super Sentence writer of the week! Ava used her phonic knowledge to write our sentence all by herself. Well done Ava!!

Infant 2- Anders and Lillie-Mae- for brilliant agility work in PE. They were determined to show their talents and really impressed Miss Bottrell.

Writer of the week- Ben and Lyla. For their fantastic recounts of Ethiopia day. They were so clear and precise especially writing in the past tense accurately.

Junior 1- Frankie- for great independent work in all lessons this week and not being afraid to ask if unsure about anything.

Carla- for her resilience, hard work and for being such a supportive, listening and caring buddy!

Junior 2- Jiamin and Aleena- for their superb follow up work to their Blitz morning with Mr Hammond. Mr Tyler was very impressed with the standard of writing that they produced!
