What a fantastic week it has been especially with the beautiful weather to end the week. It was great to see all the children in their own clothes today and there is a real buzz around school for the gala tomorrow. I hope you are able to join us. A big well done to Harriet, Rhys and Lissie who all completed the Summer Library Reading challenge and brought their medals and certificates in this week. We also held our own Summer Reading challenge- please do read all about that here

This week we were looking at our whole school value of friendship as we welcomed the children back to school and we learnt the bible verse that as a school we have chosen to go alongside this. James 1:17

’Every good and perfect gift comes from our heavenly father’

On to our brilliant book...

Infant 1- Rupert for showing the value of friendship and service by making sure that Jimmy was able to move around the classroom by moving toys out of the way

Bella and Claudie- for making a brilliant face out of natural materials in forest school today. They found the perfect stick to make a smile.

Infant 2- Dylan for showing the value of service and looking after the classroom to keep it tidy

Alex and Autumn- for great enthusiasm for their new homework launch and producing a superb poster on the human body. What a brilliant start to year 1 girls.

Writer of the week for the first time this year went to Jake. Well done for your superb character description and for remembering all your finger spaces. It is beautifully presented.

Junior 1- Megan and Scarlett- excellent presentation in independent maths work, it is so nice to see how much pride you have taken with it.

Krishan- for showing determination and detail in all his maths challenges this week. What a superb start to the year.

Junior 2- Summer for her superb maths work. Accurately rounding 5 digit numbers to the nearest 10, 100, 1000 and 10,000.

Rosie and Orla for their good recounts of a day from the summer holidays. Making Mr Tyler laugh out loud is no small challenge!
