    Infant Trip to Field Farm

Our infant children enjoyed a fantastic visit to The Old Barn at Field Farm, where they were welcomed by Helen for a busy and fun-filled day of learning and exploration.

The day began by thinking about how things grow. Children looked at seeds before heading into the fields to pick their own vegetables, including radishes, cabbages and broccoli. They then returned to the classrooom to wash their vegetables, ready to take some home and blend some into a delicious smoothie to taste. The children also learnt about wheat and had the opportunity to grind some into flour.

After lunch, everyone enjoyed playing outdoors in the mud kitchen, using play tractors and having a game of football. The day continued with colouring activities, making a spoon scarecrow, rolling straw bales and, to finish, enjoying a refreshing ice lolly.

It was a wonderful hands-on experience and a memorable day enjoyed by all!
