PE

Remember to keep active and to do 60 minutes of physical activity, especially next week as it is National School Sports Week.  On the class page of the website is a document called ‘PE - Activities for NSSW‘.  There you will find an activity card for Athletics (Track and Field), Aiming Sports, Team Sports, Adventure Sports and Artistic Sports.  For each activity card there are lots of different activities to try so that you can challenge yourself and for each activity there is a link that will provide you with more information.  You can choose a different activity card every day or you can choose one activity card for the week and focus on a different activity within that card, each day.  You might think that’s enough sport for one week but next week is also National Cricket Week!  Resources will be available at https://www.chancetoshine.org/blogs/national-cricket-week-2020 , the static resources will be made available at the start of the week for all 5 days and then the relevant video content will be added on each day at 9AM.

This week’s Notts School Games new weekly set of activities are linked to National School Sports Week.  Try to have a go at the activities and the Friday virtual competition: poster, video, medal, or bunting design.  Once complete, submit your entry to the competition before 9:00am on Friday 3rd July 2020.  I hope you found the gymnastics set of activities for the week just gone.  If you didn’t, please take a look and try to have a go at the virtual competition: Submit a film clip (max 15mb) or photos of yourself doing your routine. Once complete, submit your routine to http://www.activenotts.org.uk/forms/view/sgvc  before 9am on Friday, 26th June.   Also, try to keep up with Joe Wicks’ daily PE lessons at 9am (now Monday, Wednesday and Saturday) on YouTube and/or free daily Drumba sessions live at 10am at https://twitter.com/Drumba_ltd .
