Headteacher blog w/c 15th Oct
Friday was a very busy day for Junior 2 class last week. They walked into the hall for our fantastic Friday celebration beaming. All the boys had worked incredibly hard all morning making rockets with Mrs Perry whilst the girls took part in a multisports event with Mr Tyler. They then had a planetarium come into school for the afternoon. The level of questions the children asked showed just how much they have taken away from their science topic this term. It is brilliant to be able to offer such a wealth of experiences during their time at Gunthorpe. With a special values day on Monday and Divali day for all infants on Tuesday life is always busy here!
On to the brilliant book…
Infant 1- Seb has been doing some fantastic blending. He has been trying really hard with his letters and reading this week
Alex- super sentence writer! Alex remembered her sentence and wrote it all by herself!
Infant 2- Megan and Lucia- for fantastic team work during PE
Heidi-Mrs Brown was very impressed with her writing. It was nicely presented and completed independently. She also impressed in maths with her knowledge of o’clock time.
Junior 1- Kai and Summer- also showed fantastic team work in PE supporting each other, giving praise and encouragement.
Junior 2- Jack- for making a real effort to improve his handwriting and presentation
Lukas- super maths work on mental calculations!
