Today, we are going to be beginning our 'Great Fire of London' skyline artwork.
Using yellow, orange and red paint I would like you to focus on the background only today.
By beginning with yellow at the bottom of the page, gradually getting darker as you move towards the top until it is deep, dark red you will recreate the look of glowing flames.
Use the gradient picture below to help.
The other pictures are to give an example of what our finished product will look like.
On Thursday we will be creating our Skyline using black paper to cut out the shapes of the houses and churches. If you don't have black paper, cut up newspaper is a good alternative...or you can paint over the top of your dried orange/red background in black paint or wax crayon.
